Day TripsGivens Hot Springs is located between Marsing and Walter’s Ferry Bridge on Hwy 78, (208) 459-2000. Privately owned, hours are noon to 10 pm, seven days a week. Swimming, camping, guest cabins, picnic areas, group rates, pool rentals, discount passes, swim lessons and parties. Badminton, volleyball and horseshoes are also available. Silver City - Road turns off Hwy 78 five miles east of Murphy. This 23-mile unimproved road takes an hour to traverse. Silver City is one of Idaho’s earliest mining towns. Boise River Festival is touted as one of top ten festivals in the Nation. 600,000 attend various activities, including Albertson’s Nightlight Parade and Idaho Statesman River Giants Parade. Held at Ann Morrison Park and Julia Davis Park, and off-site venues for sporting events. Canyon County Fair - Last full week in July at the Fairgrounds near O’Conner Field House in Caldwell.
