Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area
The Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area (BLORA) is about 20 mi (32 km) east of Killeen. BLORA has a swimming/water park area, a boat dock, a beach and numerous pavilions and picnic areas. Guests of the area can fish, waterski, boat, swim and much more. Boat rentals are available and fish bait is sold at a concession shop on the premises. To get here from Killeen, go east on US 190, exit on Loop 121 north, turn left on Sparta Road which leads to the BLORA entrance.
Cameron Park Zoo
Located adjacent to the Brazos river, the Cameron Park Zoo is open year-round. Closed only for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays, and the last Friday and Saturday of June. Admission is $5 for adults; $3 for children 4 years to 12 years; and $4.50 for senior citizens (60+ years). Children three and under are admitted free. Fourth Infantry Division Museum
The Fourth Infantry Division Museum in Killeen tells the military history of the area,
which is home to Fort Hood. Various artifacts, photos, vehicles and other displays are available for visitors to guide themselves through. The museum is open from Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm, and Saturday and Sunday between 12pm and 4pm. It is located west of Killeen on US Hwy 190.
Hallmark Lanes Bowling Alley
Hallmark Lanes opened in 1987 and is locally owned and operated. There are 24 natural wood lanes with AMF pinsetting and full color, automatic scoring. Their customer service area is bright, spacious and airy and has nonsmoking areas in compliance with city ordinances. They pride themselves with the cleanliness of all their facilities and friendliness of their staff. They also offer equipment for the physically challenged and plenty of family fun. Located on Shawn Drive, Hallmark Lanes offers several bowling lanes and other amusements for patrons to enjoy.

Railroad Heritage Museum
See the historic depot, view the museum exhibits and extensive archives, rent out the whole caboose, lobby, or gazebo – or just ride the train! The Railroad and Heritage Museum was founded in 1973 to collect, preserve and exhibit the history of the railroads and local history of Central Texas. Texas Sports Hall of Fame
The Texas Sports Hall of Fame is a nonprofit, educational museum established to
celebrate and preserve Texas’ sports history, located at 1108 S. University Parks Dr. Waco, Texas 76706 (just off I-35, exit 335b). Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 12pm to 5pm and admission is only $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $3 for students, and FREE for kids 6 and under!

Viva Les Arts has several different performances each season of plays, musicals, dance, children’s theatre and more. The season runs from October until August.
