    CRAWL THROUGH A LAVA TUBE Lava Beds National Monument is just west of the Wildlife Refuge and has more than 450 lava tube caves, the greatest concentration in North America. In addition, the monument encompasses the main battlefields of the Modoc War of 1872-73 and nearby is the site of the WWII Japanese Internment Camp outside Tulelake, California. The monument also includes Petroglyph Point, one of the largest panels of Native American rock art in the United States. Stop by the wonderful visitor center
    Lots of fun for the whole family! Located just a short distance north from Klamath Falls on Highway 97, Klamath & Western Railroad offers free rides on 2 miles of track owned by Train Mountain every Sunday from late May to early Sept. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. They are also open on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. They have a snack bar with burgers, chips, lattes and drinks. Come take a ride and enjoy a picnic amongst the trees.
    The former Esquire Theater which was built in 1940, is now the Ross Ragland Theater and Cultural Center. This Art Deco Style building with its six-story, brightly lit, neon tower is a notable historical landmark. This performing visual arts center features live performances that range from ballet, jazz and country western music to off Broadway shows such as Carmen. In July & August, plan to attend their Cascade Summer Concerts - Lake Ewauna Music Festival held at Veterans Park.
